Way Quoe Long

 

Way Quoe Long holds the distinction of receiving one of the harshest sentences for marijuana ever handed down by California’s Ninth Circuit. Decades ago, he was charged with conspiracy to manufacture marijuana and is serving a de facto life sentence for a nonviolent, marijuana-only offense.

Long spends his time in prison performing and writing music. He is currently writing an album entitled Rose Among Thorns. Though he has no means of recording from prison, he hopes one day the world may be able to hear his music.
